What is STEM FOR LATINA GIRLS?

​In 2014, in partnership with the Mexican Consulate of San Jose, we launched the STEM FOR LATINA GIRLS initiative. This initiative takes 20-25 Latina girls to tech companies in Silicon Valley as a way of introducing them to STEM careers. Local companies provide field trips, workshops and presentations. Participants have opportunities to meet employees and learn from their college to careers stories. The closing celebration is a great way for participants to share their experiences with their parents.

For many of our participants, this initiative provides them with their first opportunity to visit a tech company. Companies interested in hosting our girls should contact us for further information.
